Important Update: Network Location Moving to Europe
We’ve spent a lot of time recently talking about new systems, new tools, and new experiences. But today, we want to pause and talk about something a bit different, something that affects some of you, and is necessary as we grow.
Keeping our network fast, stable, and affordable isn’t magic. It takes planning, choices, and trade-offs.
Right now, as part of Project Echo, where we’re rebuilding everything to be smarter, faster, and cheaper, we’ve made a tough but important choice:
we are shifting our entire active network to Europe.
What does this mean?
- All new servers and active machines will be hosted in Europe
- Any remaining North American services will be moved onto the EU network
- The only exception is private dedicated services, which remain where they are
Why are we doing this?
This move lets us do two critical things:
1. Keep prices low — shockingly low — while still delivering great performance
2. Give us the space and time to properly rebuild our North American network later, the right way
When North America comes back, it won’t be a few scattered nodes. It will be a strong, fast, and reliable network, equal to or better than what we’re building in Europe.
Is this permanent?
No. For now, Europe is home for the sake of price and quality. We know this won’t affect most of you, but for those it does, we promise a smooth transition. No headaches, no panic, no mess, just part of the plan.
Our goal is to make ExpHost not just good but world-class. When North America returns, you’ll hear about it loud and clear.
Until then, Europe leads the way.
